Asma Awan and Christina Demopoulos (Dental) and Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health, Internal Medicine) published a book chapter titled, “Co-creation of pedagogical models in higher education: Gaps and innovations in combined models of behavioral and educational theories" in the book Research in Educational Sciences-II. The chapter explained that pedagogical and innovative educational frameworks can integrate open educational models and licensed, reusable educational resources. The chapter proposed an OPENDENT model for an innovative integration of open pedagogy, the multitheory model of health behavior change (MTM), and social cognitive theory (SCT) for co-creative learning in teledentistry education. Awan is a doctoral student.
