Anam Fatima, Md. Sohail Akther, Sharmistha Roy, Rupam Mitra, Blessing Imade, and Manoj Sharma (all Social and Behavioral Health), with Amar Kaneker of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, published an article titled “A scoping review of the use and determinants of social media among college students" in the journal Healthcare (Impact factor 2.7). The article found that problematic social media use among college students was adversely linked to mental health, and there is a need to develop healthier digital habits in this target population. Fatima, Akther, Roy, Mitra, and Imade are all graduate students.
