Scholarships

The William F. Harrah College of Hospitality offers more than 30 scholarships available to students pursuing a degree within the college at the undergraduate and graduate level. The scholarships awarded may vary from year to year based upon continued funding. Scholarships do not automatically renew. All students must reapply annually for scholarship eligibility.

Scholarships are awarded based upon factors established by the private donor, the Harrah College of Hospitality, and UNLV such as; GPA, concentrations, financial need, ethnicity, in-state residency, class rank, and gender. Additional scholarship opportunities can be found by visiting the main page for UNLV Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Newly Admitted Undergraduate Students

First time incoming undergraduate students admitted for the upcoming Fall semester are automatically considered for general UNLV scholarships once they have accepted their admissions to the university and have submitted a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by UNLV’s priority financial aid consideration deadline of November 1. Students interested in also being considered to receive a scholarship from the Harrah College of Hospitality must complete the college's scholarship application before March 31. Completing this application allows students to be considered for all hospitality scholarships for which they qualify.

Continuing Hospitality Students

Currently enrolled Hospitality students must complete the Harrah College of Hospitality Scholarship Application by March 31. Completing the application allows students to be considered for all scholarships for which they qualify. Certain scholarships are awarded based on financial need. A completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by UNLV’s priority financial aid consideration deadline November 1 is required to qualify.

Undocumented and International Students

Some of the scholarships offered are available to students regardless of their immigration status (i.e. DACA, TPS, undocumented, F-1 Visa, etc.). Although some of the scholarships available are based on financial need, only U.S. Citizens or eligible non-citizens are allowed to complete a FAFSA application. All others applicants can complete the Alternate Need Determination Form by the November 1 priority deadline.
