Scholarship awards and student research awards begin at $1,000 and Named Scholars can be established with commitments or gifts of $5,000 or more. Endowments of $30,000 or more provide a permanent award and named recognition.
The Fred and Harriet Cox Senior Design Competition is one of the most visible College of Engineering programs. Financial gifts support the program and annually named awards can be established for $5,000 or more. Contributions can be designated to departments and or programs to support a variety of student and/or faculty research projects. Programs of donor interest include: Hailey’s Hand Research Fund to support research, materials and graduate students creating 3D printed hands for children with Poland Syndrome; Dennis Waibel Memorial Golf Tournament supporting scholarships for Civil Engineering, Environmental and Construction Engineering; TechConnect supporting John S. Werth Scholarships for Computer Engineering; and the Flying Rebels Golf Tournament supporting scholarships for aerospace programs, to name a few.
