Make the most of your graduate experience at LEE! Connect with industry professionals and alumni, build your network, develop leadership skills, and explore exciting opportunities beyond the
classroom. The LEE Graduate Medallion Program recognizes students who take advantage of these experiences and get involved in the LEE community. Complete the requirements and earn a special medallion to proudly wear at commencement. Get involved, make connections, and make your graduate experience count!
How to Join
To join the program, simply submit the Graduate Medallion Completion Form during the semester you graduate. For any questions, email LEEogss@unlv.edu.
Program Highlights:
1. Build Your Network: Connect with business professionals, employers, alumni, and fellow graduate students.
2. Grow Professionally: Participate in career workshops, business visits, speaker series, and professional development opportunities.
3. Develop Leadership Skills: Get involved in mentoring, student organizations, community service, and leadership activities.
4. Explore New Opportunities: Engage in research, Graduate College programs, and experiences beyond the classroom.
5. Earn Special Recognition: Complete the program requirements and receive a LEE Graduate Medallion to proudly wear at commencement.
Program Requirements
To qualify for a Lee Medallion, graduate and professional students need to:
- Participate in qualifying activities and record the name and date of each. Provide proof of participation through a photo, confirmation, certificate, or brief description of the activity and its benefits.
- Complete the Graduate Medallion Completion form to the Lee Office of Graduate Student Services for assessment and validation.
- Fall 2026 deadline: Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026
- Spring 2027 deadline: Wednesday, April 7, 2027
- Summer 2027: Friday, July 30, 2027
Note: Points earned within the last six years will be considered as long as you are a graduate student at Lee Business School.
To earn a LEE Graduate Medallion, graduate and professional students must complete six qualifying activities during their graduate program:
1. Speaker Series and Seminars (2 activities)
- Attend two LEE speaker series, seminars, or educational workshops, including Lee Grad Essentials, alumni presentations, industry discussions, or Graduate College seminars.
2. Career and Professional Development (2 activities)
- Participate in two career or professional development activities, such as career workshops, employer networking events, career fairs, business visits, industry conferences, or professional association events. Participation may be as a student or company representative.
3. Leadership, Research, and Community Engagement (2 activities)
Complete two of the following qualifying activities:
- Participate in graduate student recruitment, orientation, or student engagement activities.
- Serve as a Graduate Rebel Ambassador or student organization leader.
- Participate in peer mentoring, alumni mentoring, tutoring, or organized alumni engagement programs.
- Attend business visits or networking events coordinated by LEE or your graduate program.
- Present research or projects at academic conferences or research symposia.
- Publish research, case studies, or professional articles in recognized publications.
- Participate in Graduate College research, leadership, or professional development programs, such as Rebel Grad Slam, Grad Rebel Writing Boot Camp, or Graduate College certificate programs.
- Participate in the President's Innovation Challenge or President's Investment Challenge.
- Participate in organized community service or volunteer activities.
Once you complete the requirements, submit your Medallion Completion Form with proof of participation by the posted deadline. Documentation may include photos, confirmations, certificates, or brief activity descriptions.
The Lee Office of Graduate Student Services will review your submission and contact you with Medallion pickup details. You may also choose to have your name featured on our Medallion Recipients List.
Students may also complete eligible requirements by engaging with previously recorded workshops and speaker series.
This option allows you to:
- View past Lee Business School workshops and events
- Engage with recorded guest speaker sessions at your convenience
Important:
If you choose this option, you are required to submit a one-page summary as proof of participation. This summary should highlight key takeaways, insights, and how the content contributed to your professional development.
