How to Join
To join the program, simply submit the Graduate Medallion Completion Form during the semester you graduate. For any questions, email LEEogss@unlv.edu.
Program Highlights:
1. Leadership Development: Build leadership, communication, and professional skills through meaningful experiences beyond the classroom.
2. Professional Networking: Expand your professional network by connecting with alumni, business leaders, faculty, and fellow graduate students.
3. Career Readiness: Strengthen your resume through experiences that demonstrate initiative, engagement, and professional growth.
4. Graduate Recognition: Earn the Lee Medallion and be recognized for your commitment to excellence at graduation.
5. Global Perspective: Develop a broader understanding of business through activities that promote innovation, collaboration, and global awareness.
Program Requirements
To qualify for a Lee Medallion, graduate and professional students need to:
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in the final semester
- Attend specific events and participate in specific activities. Proof of attendance/participation must be self-documented through selfies or a one-page summary.
- Complete the Graduate Medallion Completion form to the Lee Office of Graduate Student Services for assessment and validation.
- Summer 2026 deadline: Friday, July 3, 2026
- Fall 2026 deadline: Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2026
- Spring 2027 deadline: Tuesday, March 9, 2027
Note: Points earned within the last six years will be considered as long as you are a graduate student at Lee Business School.
To ensure your participation is recognized, please provide proof of attendance through either selfies or a one-page summary. All documentation will be collected when you submit your completion form. This process helps us verify your involvement and ensures your efforts are properly credited toward the program.
To complete the program, you must:
- Attend two Lee Speaker Series and Seminars
- Participate in two career and professional-related events (participation can be as a student or as a representative for your company)
- Complete two of the involvement options:
- Participate in prospective student recruitment events (please talk to the Office of Graduate Student Services).
- Serve as a Graduate Rebel Ambassador through the Graduate College
- Hold a leadership position for a UNLV-recognized student organization for at least one semester.
- Attend local business visits coordinated by your department or the Office of Graduate Student Services.
- Present a paper or project at a regional, national, or international academic conference.
- Publish a research article, case study, or professional piece in a peer-reviewed journal or recognized professional publication.
- Participate in a graduate research symposium hosted by UNLV or another institution.
- Serve as a mentor or tutor for undergraduate students in your field of study.
- Participate in a Graduate College event or professional development program (i.e., Rebel Grad Slam; Inspiration, Innovation, Impact; Graduate Research/Teaching/Mentorship Certificate; Grad Rebel Writing Boot Camp).
- Participate in the President’s Innovation Challenge
- Participate in the President's Investment Challenge
Once you have fulfilled all the requirements for the Lee Medallion Program, the next step is to ensure that your participation is properly documented and submitted. Please provide proof of attendance for the required activities, either through selfies or a one-page summary, and include this documentation with your Medallion Completion Form. This form and the necessary documentation must be submitted to the Lee Office of Graduate Student Services for evaluation by the specified deadlines.
Once our team verifies your involvement and completion, a member of the OGSS team will contact you with details on how to collect your Medallion. Additionally, we will ask if you would like your name to be publicized on our 'Medallion Recipients List.'
Students may also complete eligible requirements by engaging with previously recorded workshops and speaker series.
This option allows you to:
- View past Lee Business School workshops and events
- Engage with recorded guest speaker sessions at your convenience
Important:
If you choose this option, you are required to submit a one-page summary as proof of participation. This summary should highlight key takeaways, insights, and how the content contributed to your professional development.
