350 - Conference

Definition: A space serving an office complex and used primarily for staff meetings and departmental activities.

Room Type Options:

  • 35000 Conference Room
  • 35002 Conference Room - Tier 3
  • 35003 Conference Room - Tier 2
  • 35004 Conference Room - Tier 1
  • 35005 Conference Room - Tier 0

Most conference rooms will be assigned as a building resource. All conference space will be added to Google Calendar as a room resource that is viewable and schedulable by campus users. In some cases, a space may be requested but require approval to finalize the reservation. Exceptions are for the President, General Council, Vice Presidents/Provosts, and Deans. Conference space that is not assigned as a building resource should be shared as much as possible.

Building Resource conference rooms should be assigned a tier and capacity when added to Google Calendar. Format for resource in Google Calendar: Bldg Room Tier Capacity (ie: FDH 530 Tier 2 Seats (12-14) Max Occupancy (16))

Conference Room Tiers:

  • Tier 3: Full AV systems: Projector (s) / Monitor (s), PC, control system with touch panel, sound system etc.
  • Tier 2: PC, Monitor, HDMI input, web camera
  • Tier 1: PC, Monitor, and HDMI input
  • Tier 0: No Technology

Newly constructed conference rooms will include:

  • Proximity card access. Campus users may request access to Building Resources through Access Services.
  • Technology appropriate to room size.

Building Resources Fund for Repair/Replacement

As a building resource, conference space will be calculated as part of office service using the 10% factor of all assignable space for the floor or building. Size will be determined based on campus needs.

355 - Conference Service

Definition: A space that directly serves one or more conference spaces as an extension of the activities in those spaces.

Utilization: Conference room materials, equipment, etc that are organized in a tidy manner. It is recommended that the contents are reviewed annually.

  • 35504 Conference Service - Projection
