Student Cadets
Serving as the "eyes and ears" for University Police Department, the program has evolved its level of services to include:
- Evening safety escorts
- Room openings
- Emergency notifications
- Event services
The Student Cadet program was established to augment police services available to the university community, and has served UNLV for more than 20 years providing approximately 200 hours per week of direct service to campus. The program constantly strives to improve and adapt to the ever-growing and evolving UNLV campus community.
Student Cadet Employment
University Police Department is seeking mature, responsible students who work well with others and can perform duties without direct supervision.

Interested students should complete an employment application and submit it by email or deliver it in person to Police Headquarters on UNLV’s main campus.
