Research within the biologic domain explores the physical body and its responses to changes and challenges. This includes genetics and epigenetics, health risks with chronic conditions, and biomarkers.

Studies conducted by our faculty explore stress responses and hormonal changes in pregnancy and preterm infants, effects of inflammation and hypoxia on muscles, associations between physical risk factors and low back pain, and the effects of sleep disorders on overall health.
