Congratulations to Ladbon “Lade” Rabijahed on being selected as one of the Administrative Faculty of the Month Award recipients for August 2026. Rabijahed serves as the Human Anatomy and Physiology Lab coordinator within the kinesiology and nutrition sciences department at UNLV. The nominators wrote: 

“Lade leads by creating clarity, consistency, and accountability for the instructors who work with him. He coordinates approximately a dozen lab instructors during the fall and spring semesters and works with smaller teams during the summer. His leadership is practical and highly visible: he gives instructors a common assessment framework, communicates expectations, and helps the team stay focused on the pieces of the course that matter most to students. His effectiveness is also recognized by his colleagues. This afternoon, a full-time faculty colleague independently contacted me to note that Lade had done a great job throughout the entire summer term. That unsolicited feedback is meaningful because it shows that Lade's contribution is not only visible to the person coordinating the program; his colleagues experience and value his leadership as well. Lade's leadership style is collaborative rather than controlling. His exam-blueprinting process is a good example. He establishes the learning target and level of comparability across sections while allowing individual lab instructors to make appropriate choices within that framework. He gives the team structure without taking away their professional judgment. That balance is a major reason the laboratory program can function effectively at scale.”

The Administrative Faculty of the Month awards recognize outstanding colleagues who go above and beyond in their duties in advancing UNLV’s mission. The winning recipients receive a certificate and $150 in recognition of their contributions. Nominations for the September 2026 awards are due by Sept. 30, 2026.
