The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) has announced a $10 million gift from an anonymous donor for the expansion of the campus preschool.

The UNLV/CSUN preschool has had a waitlist for two years following great demand in the community after surrounding childcare facilities closed due to fallout from the pandemic.

A local preschool teacher got the surprise of his career today. Mr. Carl Esteban is the head teacher at UNLV/CSUN preschool.

The Nevada Department of Education (NDE or Department) recognizes two Washoe County educators as the inaugural recipients of the Nevada Early Childhood Educator of the Year Award.
