Lori Johnson (Law) was sworn in as a member of the Board of Directors of the Legal Writing Institute at the 21st Biennial Legal Writing Institute Conference.  
As a member of the Association of Legal Writing Directors (ALWD) Leadership Academy Steering Committee, Rebecca Scharf (Law) presented on Inclusive Leaders in Divisive Times at the 21st Biennial Legal Writing Institute Conference.  
Nantiya Ruan (Law) presented about writing Amicus Briefs during Collaborations between Legal Writing Professors and the Bench/Bar at the 21st Biennial Legal Writing Institute Conference.  
Addie Rolnick (Law) presented on Possibilities and Obstacles for Healing Through Tribal Justice Programs at the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) UNITE Structural Racism and Health Workshop. 
Professor Nantiya Ruan (Law) presented on two panels, Making Meaning Throughout Your LRW Career and Professional Obligation to Participate in Legal Writing Scholarship at the 21st Biennial Legal Writing Institute Conference. In addition, she was a leader for the Discipline Building Working Group.
Professor Rebecca Scharf (Law) presented on "At Risk: The Future of Legal Writing Scholarship without Professional Incentives" at the 21st Biennial Legal Writing Institute Conference. 
Professors Mary Beth Beazley, Lori Johnson, and Rebecca Scharf (all Law) are on a panel discussing The Challenges and Rewards of Teach Legal Writing to FirstGen Law Students at the 21st Biennial Legal Writing Institute Conference. 
Professor Rachel Anderson (Law) was awarded the Outstanding Non-Traditional Career Award at the National Bar Association Women Lawyers Division 2024 Annual Achievement Awards Breakfast. 
Professor Marketa Trimble (Law) has been reappointed to the Scientific Board of the Masaryk University Faculty of Law for 2024 - 2027. The Scientific Board serves a number of functions including approving academic programs, requesting accreditation, participating in the review and tenure process, and approving awards. 
Rachel Anderson (Law) presented on a panel at the National Bar Association's 99th Annual Convention on "The Unseen Battle: Navigating Burnout Among Black Women in the Law." The panel discussed the interplay between imposter syndrome, gender-related pressures, race-related stress, and their detrimental effects on mental health. 
Professor Patience Crowder (Law) co-authored a new article, "Embedding Racial Justice in the Work of Environmental Non-Profits," in the Seattle Journal for Social Justice. 
Professor Francine Lipman (Law) published her new article, "Taxing Undocumented Immigrants Redux," in the Pittsburgh Tax Review.
