Dr. Christina Demopoulos (Dental) accepted an invitation to present "HPV: The Role of the Dental Team" during a webinar  hosted by the National Network for Oral Health Access, which was viewed by approximately 200 participants.
Dr. Moni Ahmadian (Dental) co-authored and presented "Central Xanthoma of Mandible in a 12 Year-Old Boy" to the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology during a virtual meeting in April.   
Dr. David Cappelli (Dental) accepted to serve as director-elect for the American Board of Dental Public Health, which certifies candidates for diplomate status, and is to receive the President’s Award from the American Association of Public Health Dentistry for his contribution to dental public health education. 
Dr. David Cappelli (Dental) served as guest editor of the Journal of Public Health Dentistry, Precision Public Health and the Future of Dental Public Health special issue, which published this spring. He also authored "Introduction: The Advent of Precision Public Health and the Future of Dental Public Health," which appeared in the issue.
Dr. Flora Phipps (Dental) appeared on U.S. Sen. Senator Jacky Rosen’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages on April 3 as part of the senator’s “Nevada Women in STEM” highlight.
Aidy Weeks, Ruby Nugent, and Katie Houk (all Libraries) collaborated with colleagues around the country to develop a collection of Spanish language COVID-19 resources. Weeks, Nugent, and Houk are health sciences librarians.
Mary Shoff, Thomas Booker, Brennan Leavitt, Dylan Harmon, Karl Kingsley and Katherine M. Howard (all Dental) published their research titled "Differential Exosome miRNA Expression in Oral Cancer Stem Cells" in the latest issue of the journal ExRNA.   
Dr. David Cappelli (Dental) co-authored “Using Big Data to Promote Precision Oral Health in the Context of a Learning Health Care System,” which appears as an online article in the Journal of Public Health Dentistry.

Dr. Neamat Hassan, Dr. Tanya Al-Talib, and Angelica Bustos (all Dental) co-authored "Retrospective Analysis of the Association of Non-Carious Cervical Lesions with Bruxism," which appeared in the February issue of the Open Journal of Stomatology. Bustos is a third-year dental student.
