Performances are in the Judy Bayley Theatre at 7:30 p.m. April 4-5, and 2 p.m. April 6.

The March 27 event also recognizes Dean’s Medal Recipient June Brennan and Fine Arts Alumnus of the Year Ronnie Vannucci.

The concert features guest conductor Boguslaw Dawidow and pianist Roman Rabinovich.

The orchestra is led by music director and conductor Taras Krysa.

This is the fifth consecutive year UNLV has been invited to the festival, which draws top student musicians from around the world. It will be held March 28-30 in the Monterey, Calif.

The performance features De Ann Letourneau, Las Vegas Philharmonic concertmaster; members of the UNLV faculty; and guest musicians.

Duo Siqueira Lima – Uruguayan Cecilia Siqueira and Brazilian Fernando Lima – appear as part of Allegro Guitar Series at UNLV.

The event, "Questions, Answers, and Conversation," is at 4 p.m. in the Dr. Arturo Rando-Grillot Recital Hall of the Beam Music Center.

Concert features the 2013 DownBeat Magazine Award-winning UNLV Jazz Ensemble I and special guest artists.

The collection includes more than 10,000 records; rare concert and self-recordings; and jottings, posters, artwork, and other memorabilia.

Part of the UNLV Chamber Music Series, the Axiom Brass Quintet has been praised for its clean, clear, and precise sound, and has quickly established itself as one of the major players in brass chamber music.

Guest soloists are Lillian Roberts, soprano; Stephanie Weiss, mezzo-soprano; William McCullough, tenor; and Nathan Van Arsdale, bass.
