UNLV Symphony Orchestra Opens Season Sept. 28

The concert features flute soloist Jessica Patchett, winner of the UNLV Concerto Competition.

The UNLV Symphony Orchestra opens its 2016-17 season at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, in Artemus Ham Concert Hall. The performance features the winner of the UNLV Concerto Competition, flutist Jessica Patchett. Taras Krysa conducts.

The program includes:

  • G. Verdi "Nabucco Overture"
  • K Nielsen "Flute Concerto"
  • Soloist Jessica Patchett, UNLV Concerto Competition winner
  • A. Dvorak "Symphony No. 8"
