WHAT: UNLV's Department of Counselor Education and Southern Nevada
Association of Addicted Professionals (SNAAP) host a two-day conference addressing current science of addictions and newest developments in addiction treatment.

Friday, September 28, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
WHERE: UNLV's Richard Tam Alumni Center
Corner of Harmon and Maryland Parkway
DETAILS: The conference features keynote addresses from the industry's leading experts in addiction recovery. Topics include: the current science
of addictions; the impact of addiction on oral health; how addiction affects the family; the role of pharmacology in healing addiction; and nicotine dependency treatment.
UNLV Provost Neil Smatresk, educators from UNLV's School of Dental Medicine, the Association for Addiction Professionals, the University of Nevada School of Medicine and WestCare of Nevada are among those taking part at this year's conference.
The SNAAP conference is partnered with National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month and sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
