Today is a big day for the next wave of home grown physicians to learn where they "matched" for residency. We're talking about the soon to be graduate members of the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine class of 2025! Just an hour before the big announcement, Dr. Marc Kahn came by on ARC to express his excitement for the students and how much this special moment meant to him. To celebrate the big day, there's a tradition of having themed "matching" days where last year, Dr. Kahn dressed up as Super Mario and this year is Harry Potter-themed!
Two organizations were recognized for contributing to the future of journalism at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) on Thursday. The Broadcasters Association and Foundation, and the Bonnici Scholarship Fund were recognized for their contribution to students interested in a future in media. Two new plaques were revealed on their media school’s donor wall in their honor.

Every year, tens of millions of people come to Las Vegas with the intention of spending money. Hitting it big in a casino is part of the dream that drives people to the desert in droves, but the reality for the majority of Las Vegas visitors is that the experience they want to have is going to cost them. And, for the most part, they are OK with that.
Many are raising concerns over President Trump's recent executive order to dismantle the Department of Education, labeling it as unconstitutional and beyond the scope of the executive branch's authority. Dr. Rebecca Gill, an associate professor of political science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, weighed in on the issue.
Inside the facility, there will be six retail spaces, each up to 1,300 square feet, for microbusiness owners to rent. The spaces can accommodate a majority of businesses, including restaurants. UNLV will occupy the top floor with a 10,000-square-foot business support and coworking center called Black Fire Innovation.
