Biography

Juliana Tkatch is a professor with UNLV's William F. Harrah College of Hospitality. She teaches and researches events, sports entertainment, and tourism attractions, helping students understand how to design experiences that are immersive, memorable, and meaningful.

With more than 15 years of professional experience in event planning, stakeholder management, and sustainability strategy, Tkatch bridges industry practice and academic insight. Her primarily line of scholarly work focuses on how theme parks, tourism attractions, and event designers can intentionally create spaces that connect emotionally with guests and create lasting impact. Her research also explores accessibility in tourism, special-interest tourism, and the social and economic impact of events.
