Presentation: Susanna Newbury

Susanna Newbury (Art) presented her research on Los Angeles artists engaging with the long tail of gentrification through real estate and development policy at the Aesthetics of Gentrification: Art, Architecture, and Displacement conference at the University of Oregon's Slow Lab in Portland. The conference assembled international scholars addressing redevelopment, income inequality, and cultural producers to examine relationships between the visual world and social justice within urban contexts.
