The Las Vegas Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) recently recognized Steven Slivka (Integrated Health Sciences) for two of his stories during the organization's annual Pinnacle Awards.
He received a Pinnacle Award for his story titled, "Physical Therapy Program Offers Northern Nevada Paiute Students a Way to Give Back" and an Award of Excellence for another story titled, "UNLV Athletic Training Professor Channels Personal Experiences into Research Project for New Moms."
The awards recognize excellence in public relations ane communications.
