In the American Geriatrics Society 2023 Annual Scientific Meeting, interdisciplinary UNLV 'NIHAN' and UNR Sanford Center ICECAP project teams — Sidkazem Taghva, Mingon Kang (Computer Science); Jay Shen, Pearl Kim, Yonsu Kim (Healthcare Administration & Policy; Public Health), Laurie Kim, Ji Yoo (Medicine) — were invited to present statewide telehealth provider training and services promotion, called project 'NGTC (Nevada Geriatrics Telehealth Collaboration)'. These projects have been supported by the U.S. DHHS HRSA (U1QHP33069), CARES ACT (T1MHP39045), Nevada ADSD ARPA OAA (2101NVHDC6-00). In addition to increase of telehealth utilizations, health care quality improved in advance care planning and health care cost saving was estimated for Nevada older adults. UNLV health economists at School of Public Health evaluate economic impacts of community caregiver engagement and advance care planning on people living with Alzheimer's disease-related dementias along with UNR Sanford Center of Aging, Alzheimer's Association, Nevada ADSD, and Nevada Senior Services.
