The UNLV School of Nursing has been named a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education by the National League for Nursing (NLN), one of the highest national distinctions available to nursing programs. The designation recognizes the school’s work to “Enhance Student Learning and Professional Development” and follows a rigorous, peer-reviewed application process.
This marks the second time the School of Nursing earned this recognition, having previously held the designation from 2019 to 2023. The renewed status reflects a sustained commitment to evidence-based innovation in how the school prepares its students, not a one-time achievement.
The School of Nursing is among just 20 nursing organizations nationwide named a Center of Excellence for 2026, and is the only nursing program in Nevada to hold this designation.
