Graham McGinnis, James Navalta Robert Salatto, Dustin Davis, and, Bryson Carrier (all Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences), along with Jacob Manning and Mark DeBeliso of Southern Utah University published a paper, "Effects of Acute Beta-Alanine Ingestion and Immersion-Plus-Exercise on Connectedness to Nature and Perceived Pain," in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. The findings provide evidence that physical activity can increase connectedness to nature regardless of perceived pain.
