Refat R. Srejon (Public Health), Kavita Batra (Medicine), and Jagdish Khubchandani from New Mexico State University, published a study "COVID-19 Vaccination Refusal and Non-Uptake Among People Living with HIV in the United States" in the Journal of Community Health. The study highlights the need for targeted interventions that address systemic mistrust and psychosocial and structural barriers while leveraging existing HIV care systems to improve COVID-19 vaccination uptake among people living with HIV.
