Lung-Wen Antony Chen (Environmental and Global Health), Lung-Chang Chien, Chad Cross, Edom Gelaw (Epidemiology and Biostatistics), and colleagues published an article on "Towards optimization of community vulnerability indices for COVID-19 prevalence" in the journal BMC Public Health.

In this study the team established a practical approach to optimize a community vulnerability index (CVI) for assessing COVID-19 risk across Clark County. This CVI emerges as a vital tool in facilitating targeted interventions for COVID-19 to protect vulnerable populations in Southern Nevada and beyond.
