Kavita Batra (Medicine) and Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health; Internal Medicine)  coauthored an article in association with the Global Burden of Diseases 2023 Disease and Injury Risk Factor Collaborators titled, “Burden of 375 diseases and injuries, risk-attributable burden of 88 risk factors, and healthy life expectancy in 204 countries and territories, including 660 subnational locations, 1990–2023: A systematic analysis for the Global Burden of Disease Study 2023,” in The Lancet (Impact factor 88.5). The study emphasized the intricate and dynamic nature of global health issues.  The future of global health will be shaped by the interaction between the multiplicity of health risks, social determinants, and systemic challenges.
