Kavita Batra (Medicine) and Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health; Internal Medicine)  coauthored an article in association with the Global Burden of Diseases 2023 Causes of Death Collaborators titled, “Global burden of 292 causes of death in 204 countries and territories and 660 subnational locations, 1990–2023: A systematic analysis for the Global Burden of Disease Study 2023,” in The Lancet (Impact factor 88.5). The study highlighted the need for strengthening healthcare systems around the world that are especially resistant to future pandemics.
