James Louis-Jean (Chemistry) recently was awarded first place in the 2020 Innovations in Nuclear Technology R&D Awards - Materials and Recovery Section sponsored by the Department of Energy's office of nuclear energy. His winning paper, "Preparation and Characterization of Benzotriazolium Perrhenate," was published in Inorganica Chimica Acta in 2019 and will be presented at the Innovations Awards session of the ANS winter meeting in Chicago in November. A radiochemistry Ph.D. student, Louis-Jean is advised by chemistry professor Frederic Poineau.
