Gregory P. Brown, Kavita Batra, Anne Weisman, Arianna Palermini, Nezia Rahman, Robert Sottile, Sherine Khanbijan, Noa Klausner, Elizabeth Park, Andrew Wilson, Tiffany Chen, Al Gourner, Paige Hewitt, Soon Cho (all Medicine), along with Jo Woon Chong (SungKyunKwan University, South Korea), presented a poster titled, “AIT, EFT, & EMDR: A QEEG RCT Study Assessing Reduction of Fear-Based Memory,” at the Annual Meeting of The American College of Psychiatrists (ACP).
The study findings suggest the equivalence of AIT, EFT, and EMDR within this experimental design, both at the initial intervention and at six months without additional intervention. The results are consistent with Memory Reconsolidation Theory, supporting the separation of autobiographical memory components associated with fear-based responses. Dr. Gregory Brown, Professor of Psychiatry and Residency Training Director, is leading several innovative studies in the field of Energy Psychology, advancing research on evidence-based trauma-focused interventions.
