Esther Langston (Social Work) has been elected by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Foundation as an NASW Social Work Pioneer, one of the profession’s highest honors. Those chosen have explored new territories and built outposts for human services around the country and have made important contributions to the social work profession. Pioneers have paved the way for thousands of other social workers to make their own contributions to the health and welfare of individuals and families facing significant challenges in both urban and rural communities.
