Esther Adaji (Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences) presented findings from a collaborative research study titled “Barriers and Facilitators to Healthy Eating Among U.S. School-Aged Children: A Qualitative Systematic Review” at the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB) Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.
The study examined factors that influence healthy eating among school-aged children and their caregivers and organized the findings using the Capability, Opportunity, and Motivation-Behavior framework. The conference provided an opportunity to share the research team’s findings with professionals and researchers in nutrition education and behavioral nutrition. It also allowed for engagement with current research, exchange of ideas, and networking with researchers, students, and practitioners from different institutions. Participation in the conference supported professional development and provided an opportunity to represent UNLV within the broader nutrition education community.
