Hospitality Ph.D. alumnus Dongwon Yun '25 was awarded the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management (JHTM) Best Paper Award for his paper with UNLV Hospitality College faculty coauthors, Renata Guzzo and Cass Shum. Their paper on hiring managers’ evaluations of gender-nonconforming applicants found that gender-nonconforming applicants were more liked and received stronger recommendations and evaluations when they were female, similar to the hiring managers, or male, dissimilar to the hiring managers.
