Darnelle Melvin (Libraries) presented "Making Connections: Using Graph Databases to Explore Complex Research Data" at the Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee (IARPC) June Meeting. The presentation explored how graph databases and semantic web technologies can connect and integrate research data across disparate systems, disciplines, and organizations. It also highlighted concepts including RDF, URIs, ontologies, SPARQL, and knowledge graphs, demonstrating how these approaches support data discovery, interoperability, and interdisciplinary research. IARPC brings together leaders from 18 U.S. federal agencies, departments, and offices to coordinate and advance Arctic research efforts.
