Christopher Cain, Ph.D., and Ph.D. candidate Junghoon Lee (both Hospitality) collaborated with researchers from Syracuse University to explore the impact of weather-related variables on the performance of all PGA Tour golfers across tournaments over seven full seasons. Their study, "Forecasters of Success: Atmospheric Conditions and Golfer Performance on the PGA Tour," published in the International Journal of Golf Science, analyzed data such as air density, wind conditions, dew point, and precipitation to model golfer performance.
