Andrew Thomas Reyes (Nursing) has been elected vice chair of the advisory committee for the Nevada Office of Minority Health and Equity (NOMHE).
NOMHE is part of the Nevada Department of Human Services and works to advance health equity across the state by improving the quality of and access to health care for minority and underserved populations. The office also promotes public education on health issues, addresses disparities in health outcomes, and develops policy recommendations to improve the health and well-being of Nevada communities.
As vice chair, Reyes will help support the work of the advisory committee in advising NOMHE on matters of policy and strategies for advancing its mission. His service reflects his ongoing commitment to health equity, mental health, and improving access to culturally responsive health care for diverse and underserved populations in Nevada.
