Alain Bengochea and Suheyla Sarisahin (both Early Childhood, Multilingual, and Special Education) are serving as president and secretary, respectively, of the newly founded Nevada State Association for Bilingual Education (NV-SABE). NV-SABE is the Nevada state affiliate of the National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE). The statewide organization brings together educators, families, researchers, community partners, and policymakers to advance bi-/multilingual education across Nevada. NV-SABE works to expand dual language bilingual education programs in the state and to support the success of Nevada's multilingual learners.
