91.5 Jazz and More FM/HD1

Public Radio KUNV 91.5 FM/HD1 (“91.5 Jazz and More”) is the #1 smooth jazz station in the United States and one of the top ranked public radio stations in the country. This station was created by UNLV students in 1981, playing an eclectic mix of rock, country, jazz, hip-hop, and other genres.

In July 2014, KUNV was nominated by the National Association of Broadcasters for the inaugural Marconi Award for Noncommercial Station of the Year. Despite the fact that jazz is considered to be one of the few truly American art forms, there are only a few full-time mainstream jazz radio stations remaining in the country. In fact, there are only a small number of full-time jazz radio stations internationally.

91.5 Jazz and More prides itself on broadcasting a wide range of the best smooth jazz, classic rock, R&B, Hawaiian, and community programming. 91.5 Jazz and More also sponsors and supports live jazz, R&B, and blues in Southern Nevada. In addition, the station provides educational opportunities to Nevada Broadcaster Association scholarship recipients, providing hands-on experience in a variety of areas including on-air, production, and broadcast management.

Additional goals for The Rebel HD2 include maintaining broadcast professionalism with integrity; increasing revenues to support programming through underwriting; providing membership opportunities and long-term community relationships; being respected by students, campus organizations, administration, and the community by positively contributing to all; and providing educational and managerial opportunities to students to increase personal growth and experiences.
