Spring Orientation

Welcome to UNLV! Every semester the Graduate College hosts the New Graduate Student Orientation for our incoming Grad Rebels. Whether you are new to campus or an alumnus you will learn important information unique to graduate studies at UNLV. You will also have a wonderful opportunity to meet other graduate students and get even more insider tips on how to survive and thrive in your graduate studies!

Spring 2019 Orientation Program

All new graduate students are required to attend Orientation on Friday, January 11, 2019. Please see below for the tentative schedule. Please note that the International Student Orientation takes place on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.

  • Get Your Rebelcard

    All Day

    You will need to get your Rebelcard student ID to access important resources including the UNLV Library's online resources. On Friday, January 12, 2018, the Rebelcard office will be open from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. If you would like to get your Rebelcard on another day, please check their website for hours of operation before heading to campus, as Rebelcard office hours vary.

New Graduate Student Orientation (Student Union Ballroom)

1:30-3:30 p.m.

The Student Information Session will provide new students with important information to ease the transition into graduate study at UNLV. Graduate College staff will discuss policies and procedures and address issues and concerns that new graduate students may face. After the information session we invite you to join us for a reception for our incoming Graduate Students. Light refreshments will be provided.

To RSVP for New Graduate Student Orientation, log in to your MyUNLV page, go to your Student Center, and navigate to your Communication Center on the right of the page. Please note that if your department has an orientation, you should plan to attend this Graduate College orientation, too, as different material will be covered.
