The festival runs for ten days from late January to early February each year, and we take two groups of students, each attending five days of the festival.

The cost of lodging is covered, but students are responsible for purchasing a round-trip plane ticket, a festival pass and/or film tickets, and food while on the trip.

Applicants interested in attending must submit a brief narrative statement and the name of a UNLV FILM mentor (professor or instructor) who has agreed to provide a reference if contacted.

All current undergraduates majoring or minoring in film are eligible to apply, but preference will be given to juniors and seniors 21 years of age or older whose cumulative GPAs reflect high academic achievement. Graduate students are also eligible.
