UNLV Film Festivals

UNLV FILM sponsors two annual festivals for film students, alumni, and the local film community - the 48 Hour Film Fest and Spring Flicks - which culminate in screening and award ceremonies. Some of these short films go on to screen in festivals worldwide.

48 Hour Film Fest

Each fall, the Department of Film sponsors the 48 Hour Film Fest at UNLV. Participants are given 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit a short film. The finished films are screened in front of an audience and are voted on by a panel of judges that includes industry professionals. The winning film receives a grand prize and boasting rights.
