Becoming a Patient

If you are interested in being considered for treatment in the student clinics, call 702-774-2400 to schedule a screening appointment. This brief examination will help determine if your needs are compatible with the educational requirements of our student doctors. Many factors influence acceptance and continuance as a patient into our educational program, including but not limited to:

  • suitability for the teaching program;
  • the person's current health;
  • the current complexity of the existing dental needs;
  • time and finances available for appointments.
Become a Patient

Persons who are acceptable may be assigned to a student doctor immediately or placed in the patient pool for admission into the treatment program at a later date. When matched with the student’s needs, the individual is assigned to a student for comprehensive oral health care. A comprehensive oral examination will be scheduled, and at this time there will be a charge for the x-rays and the exam. All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

SDM on Main may be contacted at 702-774-7108 for an initial appointment, but these same qualifications for treatment apply. If complexity exceeds the services, the patient will be referred to the Shadow Lane Campus, General Practice Residency, Faculty Dental Practice, or private practice for additional care.

This same process applies to our advanced educational programs. Contact numbers for these programs are listed below:
