LAS VEGAS — Community members interested in breaking into the world of DJing can now get hands-on experience through a new introductory course offered by the UNLV Lifelong Learning program.

The “Learn to DJ” course is designed for beginners who want to explore the fundamentals of the DJ industry while gaining practical experience with professional equipment and software. Participants will learn the history of DJ culture, understand the technical basics of audio systems, and develop confidence using DJ hardware and software.

Students will also learn how to properly connect DJ gear, import and export music, and build energy through track selection and mixing techniques. The course is led by experienced instructors with years of professional DJing experience in Las Vegas and beyond, offering students insight into both the creative and technical sides of the craft.

The program is open to anyone interested in music, live performance, or audio production, regardless of previous experience.
