Beau McDougall
Beau McDougall, '15 BS Public Administration, was born and raised in Las Vegas and has been serving Las Vegas as a firefighter/paramedic for the last decade. He is also a small business owner focused in the real estate industry. When he’s not selling homes or fighting fires, he dedicates his time to his alma mater. McDougall has recently accepted a position on the UNLV Alumni Association Board of Directors. This will be his first year serving on the board, and he’s already hit the ground running.
The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV is currently operating the largest COVID-19 testing site in the state of Nevada. The site serves over 500 patients a day; working in congruent with 85 staff and volunteers: students, nurses, doctors, National Guard and Metro Police. McDougall saw this as an opportunity to bring together his resources and make a difference! Early week of May, he coordinated with local organizations to provide five days of food and beverages to be delivered to the School of Medicine's testing site. He brought together various real estate organizations, wealth management companies, and even the Firefighters Union to all sponsor a day. McDougall's own mortgage company, Next Home People First, provided In-N-Out burgers and Mora’s Ice Cream for all the workers!
Robert Smale
Robert Smale, '95 BA History and BA Spanish, attended the University of Texas for his Ph.D. and now is associate professor and chair of the history department at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He will be returning to UNLV on April 13 to give a lecture in Latin American Studies at the University Forum lecture series. While at UNLV, Smale was on the swim team all four years while achieving a 3.987 GPA.
Tom Prout
Tom Prout, '09 BS Business Administration, is an ag and commercial lender with Bremer Bank in Grand Forks North Dakota. He is a father of three (Payton, 10; Norah, 8; Sam, 5. His wife Sarah is the VP of Marketing and Communications for the University of North Dakota Alumni Association & Foundation. They currently reside in Grand Forks, N.D. Throughout his life, Prout always held an interest in art. It wasn’t until the pandemic that he discovered the therapeutic element art can genuinely provide. Finding inspiration in the beauty around him, particularly skyscapes, with their unique palette and form is something distinctly seen throughout his work. Oil, watercolor, and pencil sketch are his preferred mediums. Recently, Prout had a piece selected for the Plains Art Museum Spring Art Gala art auction in Fargo, N.D.
Prout enjoys the outdoors, hunting, cycling (gravel and road), sports, and painting.
Jim Mikula
Jim Mikula, '78 BS Hotel Administration, is launching his first urban day use resort near Plano, Tex., next year and looking to hire as many UNLV graduates as they can!
Don Dunn
Don Dunn, '68 BS in Education, is a retired Idaho chief state appraiser for the Bureau of Land Management. Dunn graduated with a BS from Nevada Southern University prior to attending UNLV.
Heather Vague
Heather Vague, '09 BA Art, is in the Department of the Army Civilian, 12th Combat Aviation Brigade. She is an amateur middle distance triathlete, artist, and enjoys hiking. Vague is currently living in Germany.

Alyssa LoBello, '16 BA Psychology and minor in human services, is a school counselor.
Stephanie Barton
Stephanie Barton, '15 DPT, is a clinic director at ATI Physical Therapy and recently earned the Clinical Excellence Award for leading her team to exceed patient expectations while meeting or exceeding the predicted improvement in patient outcomes over the last 12 months. Barton resides in Las Vegas.

Janelle Brown-Peters
Janelle Brown-Peters, '09 BS Hospitality Management, is an assistant director of admissions at California Western School of Law-San Diego and co-founder of Torero Urban Scholars in San Diego. Brown-Peters is a former Army National Guard and worked in the hospitality industry for more than 10 years. She enjoys sports (especially water sports), travel, music, and watching TV and movies.
Justin Oney
Justin Oney, '09 Film Studies, graduated with an MFA after attending Florida State University's College of Motion Pictures. He won awards for a short film. After graduating from Florida State, he attended Cambridge University while studying in their MPhil/Ph.D. program and was named a two-time Fulbright finalist in back-to-back years. Oney says he owes a tremendous amount of credit to UNLV's Honors Program, specifically the staff and faculty member Peter Starkweather for their guidance, intuition, forward thinking, and support.
Travis Studdard
Travis Studdard, '14 BS Business Administration, '17 MS Accounting, '22 JD, worked from 2014-2015 as an internal auditor for Boyd Gaming. From 2015-2022 he was an audit agent and interim hearings officer for the Nevada Gaming Control Board. As of January 2023, he works as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Deborah Westbrook in the Nevada Court of Appeals.
Studdard resides in Las Vegas with his significant other and two wonderful boys, both of whom plan on being future Rebels! His guilty pleasure is watching the reality TV series, Sister Wives.
