About the Position
University Police Services is looking for mature, responsible students capable of working without direct supervision to serve as student cadets. We are looking for students who will be committed to the safety of citizens and protection of property for our campus communities and who will project a positive image of our department.

Duty Assignments
- Securing equipment and property
- Being a presence at campus functions
- Unlocking and relocking buildings and/or classrooms
- Assisting dispatch when necessary
- Providing Rebel Rides evening golf cart shuttles
- Assisting with after-hours jump starts
Position Type
- Paid, part-time
Work Authorization
- U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or international student meeting UNLV employment standards
Approximate Hours per Week
- 20 or less
Qualifications
- No previous experience necessary
- Must be in good academic standing
- Must be able to pass a background investigation
- May be required to submit to a screening test to detect the presence of controlled substances
