What it Means to be a Rebel Nurse
At UNLV, our slogan is Rebels Make it Happen. That mentality applies to UNLV School of Nursing, from state-of-the-art resources to renowned faculty and an abundance of educational and clinical opportunities.
Nurse Camp
This summer program is a one-week interactive day-camp open to juniors, seniors, and recent high school graduates. Attendees learn alongside clinical nurses and nurse educators as they engaged in a variety of hands-on skills labs and activities, including CPR and Stop the Bleed training; donning and doffing PPE, mobility devices and lifts; removing sutures and staples; checking vital signs, medication, administration, and more. Nursing students are often asked to volunteer to help with different activities. Attendees also gain valuable insight into nursing school and what it takes to become a registered nurse.
Community Nursing
UNLV Nursing students don’t just sit in a classroom. From wellness checks to provider education, there are a multitude of opportunities to learn about your community through the scope of nursing.

Student Nurses Association
UNLV Student Nurses Association is a nonprofit organization that provides leadership and community service opportunities for nursing students. The group is mostly run by student leaders with faculty support.
Clinical Simulation Center
The Clinical Simulation Center of Las Vegas (CSCLV) is a 31,000 square-foot educational facility located on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ Shadow Lane Campus. Students from University of Nevada, Las Vegas - School of Nursing learn and practice their skills using low and high fidelity manikins, standardized patient interactions, simulations, and surgical labs.
