Every year the UNLV Writing Center collaborates with NSHE's Sponsored Programs and EPSCoR on the NSF EPSCoR Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program alongside the NSU Writing Center and UNR Writing & Speaking Center. This 4-week mentoring series is designed to help undergraduate students interested in applying for this NSF research funding submit successful application materials. Through the sessions, students identify how they can prepare to apply; receive tips and hands-on practice drafting and revising the applications; and meet with writing consultants for one-to-one feedback and support. UNLV's Writing Center recently wrapped its spring involvement in the collaboration, having conducted two virtual workshops to help students draft their project description/applicant statements as well as a virtual drop-in consultation and feedback session.
