In partnership with UNLV and the UNLV Office of Economic Development, the SWSIE Innovation Summit and Showcase Future Fortunes: Building Tomorrow’s Tech Economy Today two-day summit in Las Vegas is designed to unite the Western region’s brightest minds — startups, corporations, investors, researchers, and government leaders — for strategic conversations on sustainability, innovation, and regional resilience.
As regional stakeholders, faculty and staff play a critical role in shaping SWSIE’s long-term strategy and guiding the investment of federal economic development dollars to meet the Southwest’s urgent resource challenges.
The agenda features expert-led workshops, investor panels, startup showcases, and focused networking opportunities — including a panel session spotlighting UNLV startup WAVR Technologies, Troesh Center director Leith Martin, and a discussion moderated by UNLV associate professor Emma Bloomfield.
