September Administrative Faculty of the Month Award Winner: Alexa Doromal

Congratulations to Alexa Doromal on being selected as one of the Administrative Faculty of the Month Award recipients for September 2026. Alexa serves as a Grant and Research Coordinator within the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV. The nominators wrote:

“Alexa supports top tier research goals, constantly searching for grants and supporting grant applications ranging from NIH grant applications to state and other grants. She works with a broad variety of faculty inside and outside of the School of Medicine, supporting their grant ideas and proposals; many grants support obtaining monies for residency and fellowship programs, which provides opportunities for our medical students to remain in Nevada for their residency and fellowship training, and this addresses the critical shortage of physicians in Nevada. She also supports our annual Research Symposium, which showcases research performed by students, residents, fellows and faculty.”

The Administrative Faculty of the Month awards recognize outstanding colleagues who go above and beyond in their duties in advancing UNLV’s mission. The winning recipients receive a certificate and $150 in recognition of their contributions. Nominations for the October 2026 awards are due by October 31, 2026.
