Rebel Route Restriping Oct. 24 & 25

The restriping work on Rebel Route originally planned for Oct. 17 and 18 was rescheduled to accommodate campus events. Lane restriping will now take place Oct. 24 and 25.

Rebel Route is a pilot test of designated lanes to support safer use of scooters, bikes, and other wheeled conveyances on campus. Due to weather and foot traffic, the lane striping, which was installed over the summer, has faded. Please see below for details:

  • Location: An L-shaped route extending from the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (RWC) to Hospitality Hall (HOS), and from Hospitality Hall to the Student Union (SU).
  • Impacts: The area will be closed from Saturday, Oct. 24 at 7:30 a.m. through the evening of Oct. 25.
    • Work hours:
      • 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m: Lanes will be power washed. Please be cautious of wet and slippery conditions in the area.
      • 9 p.m. - 5 a.m.: Lanes will be re-striped
        • Expect construction equipment and elevated noise in the area.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue to test safety solutions on campus. Visit the Facility and Infrastructure Improvement Projects webpage for information about additional campus construction projects.
