Rooftop Construction Work at FDH

UNLV is installing a guardrail system on the roof of the Flora Dungan Humanities (FDH) building to improve fall protection for personnel who maintain rooftop equipment. Please be aware of the following impacts while installation takes place.

Sept. 12
A construction crane will load construction materials onto the roof from Lot D, east of FDH from 6 a.m. - 12 p.m. During this time:

  • The top floor of FDH must remain unoccupied
  • A portion of the parking lot will be blocked off
  • Signage will be posted explaining parking restrictions and directions. Please follow all posted signage for your safety.

Sept. 14 - Sept. 23
Construction crews will install the guardrails during regular business hours - 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. During this time you can expect intermittent construction noise in the building. No access restrictions are expected.

Please note that due to the fluid nature of construction this schedule is subject to change.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to enhance campus safety.

Visit the Facility and Infrastructure Improvement Projects webpage for information about additional campus construction projects.
