Reminder: Wellness Market & Thrift Sale for Animals April 30

Enjoy a day of wellness on April 30 at the Pida Plaza (out back of the Student Union)!

Starting at 11:30 a.m. and ending at 12:45 p.m., there will be FREE student-led workshops every 15 minutes on gratitude, mindfulness, positive thinking, and living a value-driven life. At our workshops, you will learn about the benefits of four different happiness interventions and will get to try out these interventions through student-led activities. If you are limited on time, you can stop by for one 15 minute workshop anytime between 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Or, if you have more time, you can stay for two, three, or all four workshops.

The Wellness Market will also include a thrift sale that goes from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. All items are $5 or less and 100% of the proceeds will go to a local animal rescue. At our thrift sale, you will also learn about how helping others might improve your own personal well-being (and you will learn about ways you might help those in need in the Las Vegas community).

This event is co-hosted by students in the Honors College and the Philosophy Department.

Contact cheryl.abbate@unlv.edu for any questions about the event or to donate to the thrift sale!
